About us – Onlinebookiesnz
Readers come to Onlinebookiesnz expecting a league table of online bookmakers, and the site’s first job is to explain why New Zealand has none. It describes the market as it is, takes no bets and sells no tips.

Boundaries
Wagers are not accepted, "sure" tips are not sold and returns are not promised. No bet is certain to win, so none is presented as such.
How lawfulness is checked
A register of licensed bookmakers cannot exist where only one provider is lawful. Since 28 June 2025, TAB NZ, through TAB and Betcha, is the only body that may offer racing and sports betting to people in New Zealand. The Department of Internal Affairs and the Racing Industry Act 2020 with its 2025 amendment are the sources consulted. According to the Department, an overseas company offering these bets is breaking the law; the same sources show the law is directed at the operator, not the punter. Rank in a list is not a licence.
Sources in practice
Provider facts are taken from terms, help pages and footers; legal facts from statutes and public bodies. Because odds and promotions change quickly, figures are dated. Where sources end, wording stays general and no number is invented.
Audience
The pages are for adults in New Zealand, since betting with TAB NZ begins at 18, and are not legal or tax advice. The Gambling Helpline and Safer Gambling Aotearoa are there for anyone who sees betting growing beyond plan.
